Granblue Fantasy
The Japanese game received a patch on April 11, 2016 that added an English option in the game instead of it being released internationally. This means that the game must be downloaded/installed and launched in Japanese before switching to English. Granblue Fantasy is a Japanese role-playing video game. The game plays like a traditional Japanese role-playing video game with turn-based battles. The game also includes summons and a class system that lets the main character change his moveset and evolution. The characters get levels and abilities by gaining experience; summons and equipped weapons also give the characters bonuses to attack power and HP. The characters themselves are obtained either through quests (the main story quests or special event quests) or by using in-game currency to obtain random crystal fragments, which can contain special weapons that add specific characters to the party. Characters, summons, and weapons are categorized as SSR, SR, R, or N (from best to worst); there are also Wind, Water, Fire, Earth, Light, or Dark types. Voice actors give voice to all characters in combat and to a large part of the main and event storylines.
Story
"There is a world where islands of all shapes and sizes float in a sea of clouds. This is a world that has been abandoned by the gods. Long ago, beings called Astrals tried to take control of this world with their overwhelming power. But the sky dwellers, the Skydwellers, successfully resisted. The world returned to a time of peace. Our hero is about to embark on a journey after receiving a letter from his missing father. Accompanying him is Vyrn, a somewhat odd family member who happens to be a winged lizard. Despite Vyrn's objections, our hero is preparing to leave his home of Zinkenstill when the mysterious island suddenly bursts into flames. The fleet of the rising First Empire wreaks havoc from the skies. Amidst the chaos, a chance encounter with a mysterious girl named Lyria awakens the fallen Dragon of the Stars, who triggers a roaring revival."
