Gorf

Gorf, in the arcade version, actually consists of five different types of space shooters. The first one is basically a Space Invaders clone. The second variant has a formation of spaceships hovering at the top of the screen, while individual spaceships break away from the formation and come crashing down on you. The third variant is a Glaxian clone and is only available in the arcade version. In the fourth minigame, the enemy comes out of a circular hyperspace field and attacks you. After destroying four of your attackers, the game moves on to the fifth section. Here, a giant mothership drops bombs on you from the top of the screen. You defeat the mothership with a well-placed projectile that hits it between its two main parts. After that, the game starts over on a higher difficulty level.
