Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup

Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup is a roguelike dungeon crawler. Available as pure ascii or with tile graphics, playable offline or as a web version. DCSS lets the player create a hero from a variety of races and classes, then sends him into the dungeon to retrieve the Orb of Zot. Along the way through the dungeon, players encounter a variety of different enemies that they can kill, sneak around, or even befriend. The game features very deep gameplay mechanics, comparatively simple controls, and presents a very tough but fair challenge.
