Drakengard 2
Drakengard 2 is a direct sequel to the original Drakengard: the story revolves around Nowe, a boy raised by the dragon Legna, who fights against a tyrannical faction of knights, meets characters from the previous game and gets involved in the fate of the world. Like the original, Drakengard 2 combines hack and slash on foot with aerial combat phases and role-playing mechanics. The producer, writer and character designer of the predecessor returned to their respective roles. The game was designed to be mainstream, given the gritty aesthetic and story of its predecessor. By the end of 2005, 206,000 copies of the game had been sold. Western reviews praised the story, but expressed divided opinions about the graphics and criticized the gameplay.
