Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story

Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story

Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story is a multiplatform fighting video game based on the movie Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, which is a semi-fictionalized account of the life of Bruce Lee.

Story

Players control Lee and must defeat, among others, the sailor from the dance in Hong Kong, the cooks from the Chinese restaurant in San Francisco and the martial arts master who challenges Lee in order to progress through the game, re-enacting key action scenes from the movie. However, the video game omits valuable information about the movie's plot and most of the romantic content between Bruce Lee and his future wife. Players can use a variety of martial arts to defeat their enemies and build up a chi meter to unleash special techniques on their opponents. Players have three continues, and if they lose, they must fight the Phantom (the embodiment of Bruce's fear, which takes the form of an armored Japanese samurai) to continue, despite being nearly invincible. In the end, they meet the Phantom Samurai again as the final boss. The game supports up to three players simultaneously, who can play the game cooperatively or against each other in battle mode. Characters other than Bruce Lee are not playable, so the additional players only control clones of Lee, distinguished by different colored pants.
