Dragon Breed
The character is a human riding a large, green, flying Chinese-style dragon. The dragon is invincible, can block most enemy projectiles and damage enemies on contact; the human, on the other hand, is not invincible, but is armed with a forward-firing crossbow. The dragon's body is flexible and reacts to the player's movements. The player can use the dragon as a movable shield or as a whip-like weapon. You can also circle the tail around a group of enemies to kill them. The tail of the yellow or blue dragon can be wrapped around the player to make him/her almost invulnerable for a limited time. The dragon can also spit fireballs. If you hold down the fire button, the dragon collects fire in its mouth; the longer you hold down the button, the stronger the fireball becomes. There are four levels of fireball strength; the strongest is the fireball that resembles a dragon's head. The game also contains some platforming elements - the human can descend on horizontal platforms. Power-ups can be obtained by shooting small green dragons that keep appearing in the levels, or you can pick them up from the ground on foot. There are four different power-ups, each of which gives the dragon a different weapon. If you collect several power-ups of the same color, the weapon becomes even stronger. The dragon changes color depending on which power-up it has collected. With red, the dragon can spit a flame. The flame becomes longer as more power-ups are collected. Yellow makes the dragon's body fire crescents in all directions. With white, the dragon can create up to four miniature dragons that pounce on its enemies. With blue, the dragon can fire power surges downwards from its underside.
