Dragon Age: Origins
Dragon Age: Origins is a third-person role-playing game, described as a spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights. Players create their own character by customizing the gender and appearance, as well as choosing a race and class. Battles take place in real time and can be interrupted at any time: Tactical options include an editor that lets the player give the AI detailed instructions on how to behave in every possible situation. Although the main storyline is the same for each created character, the game offers six unique prologues, two for each race. Dragon Age: Origins received critical acclaim when it was released, especially for its story, setting, characters, music and combat system.
Story
Set in the fictional kingdom of Ferelden during a time of civil war, the game puts the player in the role of a warrior, mage or rogue who comes from an elven, human or dwarven family. The player character is recruited for the Grey Wardens, an ancient order that fights against monstrous forces known as Darkspawn, and has the task of defeating the archdemon that commands them and ending their invasion.
