Defense Grid 2, DG2, is the highly anticipated sequel to Hidden Path Entertainment's 2008 Defense Grid: The Awakening. Defense Grid 2 raises the bar for the ultimate tower defense game, offering new worlds and threats to test your tower placement strategies. With a new look, an immersive single-player campaign, and new game modes including online player-versus-player and multiplayer co-op, each playthrough brings new opportunities and challenges. DG2 features a story campaign with 21 stunning maps, dynamic level movement, an expanded story and characters, hundreds of challenges, new multiplayer modes, a procedurally controlled audio score and the ability to build your own levels. DG2 also introduces players to DG Architect, a level creation tool connected to Steam Workshop that allows players to create their own unique levels to share and potentially even sell. DG2 for PC was funded in part by Dracogen, a private investor, following a Kickstarter campaign in 2012 to fund the original game's DLC, Defense Grid: Containment. DG2 is being developed by Hidden Path Entertainment and published by 505 Games.
