It is not a direct sequel to Deadly Sin 1; much like the games in the Final Fantasy series, Deadly Sin 2 is merely the next in a series of spiritual successors to the original. Deadly Sin 2 has a greatly improved combat and menu system, as well as completely new features. Deadly Sin 2 features a fully scripted, turn-based, rear-view Mithran combat system. It is a sophisticated evolution of the traditional RPG combat formula that includes a winner-versus-everyone threat system and new stats such as speed, build, shield block, MP regeneration and equipment weight.
