Cooking Mama 2: Dinner With Friends

As in the original game The Cooking Mama, players in The Cooking Mama 2: Dinner with Friends prepare various culinary dishes using the touch screen of the Nintendo DS. Players follow the instructions of the titular "Mama" on the screen and use the stylus to perform various tasks such as cutting vegetables or mixing ingredients. Each of these tasks is completed by completing a short mini-game, with several mini-games strung together to create an entire dish from a catalog of 80 different recipes. After completing a dish, the player's cooking performance is evaluated and rewarded with a numerical score (out of 100) and a corresponding medal. In Let's Cook mode, if the player fails a step or "fails" within steps (in different areas), he/she will receive a "Broken Silver" medal, which is similar to the silver medal but with an additional crack. Unlike in previous Cooking Mama titles, the bonuses earned in the mini-games do not affect the overall score, but accumulate as "bonus stars". For every 5 such bonuses, the player receives an unlockable item when he/she completes the recipe.
