Computer Tycoon is an indie business strategy game about the evolution of the computer and the creation of your own company in the 70s. Lead the research race until 2034, develop the best hardware and the best operating system, take care of your infrastructure and even manage your marketing. Find video game gems to market on your platforms, conquer the global market and literally become immortal! Computer Tycoon is different from other building/tycoon games because it has a "grand strategy game" aspect. You control your "computer empire" by looking at a world map and managing resources. A journey through computer history Start your adventure in the 70s as a small company somewhere in the world. Learn about hardware and software inventions that were the first steps to our modern world today, and get a taste of what awaits us in the future. Find the classic video games and help create a new culture. Create computers your way! In Computer Tycoon, the decisions you make during development are really important. Take advantage of technology, upgrade and design combinations! Does your product need more processing power or should you focus more on features, low price or prestige? Perhaps move to portable computers or develop more user-friendly operating systems? These decisions will have a big impact on the success of your business. Expand your multinational business Expand your business intelligently into multiple countries, building more offices, factories, labs and other needed facilities. In poor countries there is cheaper labor, but in richer countries you will find better trained engineers. Market your computers! Having the best product is not enough. You have to take care of people's needs or even "change" their needs with different marketing tools. Allocate your budget well between development, production, marketing and expansion. You have only one life We will all die one day ... but not in Computer Tycoon! You can win the game by becoming a monopolist or reaching technological singularity if you are fast and healthy enough. Healthy? Yes, you have a small chance of dying in the game, so you should regularly check your health. The game is in an EA alpha stage. It has bugs and missing/simplified features.
