Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

Story

From Wikipedia: Gabriel is sent by the Brotherhood of Light to the Lake of Oblivion, where his late wife Marie tells him that the spirits who founded the Brotherhood have said that the power of the Lords of Shadow will save the world. Gabriel meets a man from the Brotherhood named Zobek, who explains that a prophecy is being kept secret by a few that tells of a warrior with a pure heart who will claim the power of the Lords of Shadow to defeat evil. Zobek says that he and Gabriel must enter the land of the Dark Lords to reunite Heaven with the world, and that in doing so Gabriel can bring Marie back from the dead. Gabriel defeats the werewolf Cornell and the vampiress Carmilla on his journey to obtain the first two parts of the God Mask. In the process, he learns that they were once two of the three founding members of the Order who fought in God's favor against Satan's spawn until they transformed into the Spirits, whose power was surpassed only by that of God. After ascending to heaven, they left their dark side behind and became known as the Lords of Shadow.
