Carcassonne

Carcassonne begins with a face-up terrain tile and 71 face-down tiles from which the players can draw. Each turn, a player draws a new terrain tile and places it next to a tile that has already been revealed. The new tile must be placed in such a way that it extends the properties of the adjacent tiles: roads must be adjacent to roads, fields to fields and cities to cities. After placing a new tile, the player who placed the tile may place a figure on a feature of the newly placed tile. The player placing the tile may not use another player to claim a feature of the tile that has already been claimed by another player or to connect a feature. However, it is possible for terrain features claimed by opposing players to be "shared" by subsequently placing tiles that connect them. For example, two field tiles that each have one other player can be connected by another terrain tile to form a single field. The game ends when the last tile has been placed. At this point, all terrain tiles (including the fields) score points for the players with the most followers. The player with the most points wins the game.
