Buzz! The Music Quiz
Buzz!: The Music Quiz is the first game in the Buzz! series, developed by Sleepydog and Relentless Software and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe's XDev for the PlayStation 2. In the game, players answer questions posed by the Quizmaster (also known as Buzz) using the four Buzz! remotes. The game was part of Sony's "Fire It Up" campaign, which also includes the EyeToy and SingStar systems.
Story
The computer-animated, always-smiling Buzz and his assistant Rose host the game, creating the illusion that players are participating in a real quiz show, complete with buzzers, theme songs and canned audience clapping and laughter. Jason Donovan is the voice of Buzz in the UK and Australia. In Europe, Buzz and Rose are voiced by different voice actors. Players can choose from 16 different contestants that match their personal musical tastes. These include a pop diva (Gina), a rocker (Phil), a punk, an Elvis (Pelvis) and a disco guy (Stevie). These characters resemble famous pop musicians like Gwen Stefani, Liam Gallagher, Geri Halliwell and Bob Marley. There are over 1,000 music clips, all international chart toppers from the 1950s to 2005, and over 5,000 questions to test your knowledge, either alone in the fast-paced single player mode or with friends/family in the multiplayer mode. None of the music clips are original recordings. Players can also choose to play in short intervals or over a longer period of time. All victories and defeats can be saved to memory cards for players to refer to later.
