Burnout 2: Point of Impact

Burnout is a street racing game that is all about speed and crashes. Unlike many other games that focus on closed tracks, here you drive through cities with real traffic and urban infrastructure. The developers have built an entire city and the surrounding areas and routed the race tracks through the city streets. As a result, certain parts of the race tracks often overlap with other parts of other races. Also, instead of encouraging strategic and safe driving, Burnout encourages offensive driving. Driving on the wrong side of the road, narrowly missing passing maneuvers, drifting, and jumping all increase your "burnout" counter. Speed boosts and jumps help you pass buses, trucks, and anything else that gets in your way. The more offensive and dangerous you drive, the more boost you get!
