Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
Brothers is presented from a third-person perspective with a view of the two brothers. The brothers are moved individually with two thumb sticks on the controller. The controller triggers also cause the respective brother to interact with the game world, e.g. talk to a non-player character or hold onto a ledge or object. The older brother is the stronger of the two and can pull levers or transport his younger brother to higher spaces, while the younger brother can walk between narrow bars. The player advances by manipulating the two brothers simultaneously to solve various puzzles. Often the player must manipulate both brothers to accomplish different tasks (e.g., one can distract an enemy non-player figure while the other clears a path). If one of the brothers falls from a great height or gets injured, the game starts at a new checkpoint. All dialogue in the game is spoken in a fictional language, so the story is conveyed through actions, gestures and facial expressions.
