BeyBlade: Let It Rip!

BeyBlade: Let It Rip!

Similar to games with robots, monsters or fighters fighting for supremacy, Beyblade spinning tops, also known as Bei-Goma, compete against each other in Tournament and Free Battle modes. In the first mode, players receive ten Bey points (with which they can buy parts) and five experience points (with which they can level up) for every victory, but only five or three points for a defeat. The tournaments consist of seven rounds, including a semi-final and a final. The final winner will be named champion and receive one of 30 Beyblade parts, while the defeated players will receive 20 Bey points as a consolation prize. In Free Battle mode, the player battles one of eight Beyblades from the TV series. Two players can compete against each other, provided that one has saved data on a PS memory card. Three complete Beyblades can be saved at a time, and names, gender and parts (trade or purchase) can be customized. Beyblades consist of five main parts and a launcher, including a bit chip, an attack ring, a weight disc, a spinning wheel and a blade base, and players can carry up to nine spare parts for repair or customization. Battles require four points to win. Features include special starts, changing paths (based on the gyro's parameters), special attacks, gimmicks (special powers inherent to some parts) and growth (up to a maximum level of 19). There are rewards for leveling up, such as increased stamina, agility, attack power and so on. During battles, DJ Jazzman hosts at Beystadium, Kenny helps with customization, and Mr. Tate runs the parts store.
