Between the Stars is a space action game with RPG elements and real-time combat in which you take the helm of an interstellar cruiser. Your task is to protect the civilized world from the Children of the Sun, a faction that rules the frontier planets in the known universe. To accomplish your mission, you must traverse the galaxy, facing new challenges with each warp jump and making difficult decisions that will affect your ship, your crew and the world around you as you upgrade your ship's equipment and fight for survival in battles. Fight in intense space battles in real time. Use your ship's special abilities at the right moment to make the difference on the battlefield. Unlock, upgrade, customize and buy different playable ships and their systems to conquer the galaxy. Create a captain and develop him over the course of the adventure. Level up and gain different attributes depending on your choices. Explore the star map and its events, which are generated in a procedural universe.
