Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II

Baldur's Gate is based on the 3rd Edition of the Dungeons & Dragons rulebook: Dark Alliance II features four new acts of hack-and-slash combat and powerful spells. Even more monster types will fight in real-time battles from the same overhead perspective as in the original game. Each selected character can use the experience gained in battle to gain new abilities over time. To aid in combat, there is a new item crafting system that allows players to create magical weapons and armor from raw materials found during their travels. As before, two heroes can adventure in cooperative play on the same screen, with each character differentiated by the types of abilities and powers available to them. Equipment can be purchased from local merchants with the gold captured from slain creatures or received as payment for quests. Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II also offers a number of hidden areas, secret characters and literally hundreds of items that you can find and use, including potions, scrolls and wands. Besides, the game offers a new branching storyline that lets players choose where to go next to achieve fortune and honor.
