Alone in the Dark

Alone in the Dark is a reboot of the original game and the fifth installment in the series. It features a new storyline and new characters, but retains the core elements of the survival horror genre. The game consists of DVD-style episodes where the player can either start from the beginning or skip to a section if they get stuck. There is also an emphasis on exploration, atmosphere and suspense, with players having to use their stealth skills and strategies to avoid being discovered by enemies.

Story

Edward Carnby wakes up in a New York apartment with a severe case of amnesia, just in time to witness living cracks destroying the city and turning many of its inhabitants into vicious monsters.
