The year is 2192 AD. Forty years ago, the Stellar-class general-purpose management computer ALLTYNEX suddenly attempted to commit genocide against humanity. ALLTYNEX commanded armies of unmanned weapons and wreaked such terrible carnage that within just 72 hours of the start of the incident, some 85% of the world's population had perished. A small number of people narrowly managed to escape the solar system, but their numbers steadily declined in the face of brutal living conditions.
