Age of Empires: Castle Siege

Age of Empires: Castle Siege invites you to lead your empire through the Middle Ages on your Windows PC or touchscreen device. Choose one of several civilizations, including the Britons, Teutons and the Kievan Rus. Upgrade your keep, reinforce your walls and deploy defense troops to protect yourself from raiders. Then train an army to raid other cities and command them in battle to destroy your opponent's defenses. Age of Empires: Castle Siege was a free medieval massively multiplayer online tower defense game in the form of a Windows app developed for Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone. The app was released in 2014 and included microtransactions to support the rapid expansion of a castle and improve defense and attack capabilities. It was developed by Smoking Gun Interactive and Microsoft Studios and was officially announced on August 26, 2014. Unlike the previous Age of Empires games, Castle Siege takes the form of a tower defense game. Castle Siege has been available for iOS since 2015 and for Android since 2017. On November 13, 2018, Microsoft Studios announced that the game would be discontinued on May 13, 2019, and it has not been in operation since then.
