Pool of Radiance is the first part of a software series developed by SSI in cooperation with TSR - the makers of the legendary fantasy role-playing game system Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.
Story
The legendary city of Phlan on the north coast of Lake Mondsee has been overrun by monsters led by a mysterious leader. Your task: find out who this evil force is, free Phlan from its plague and restore the city to its former glory. On your way, you hope to find the legendary Pool of Radiance, which is said to glow with its own mystical power. Does it really give the warrior who bathes in its magical waters enormous strength? Or is this just an elven myth? Before you face the challenges ahead, you must create your characters and select their races and combat abilities. Then you embark on the glorious journey to drive away the monsters and bring civilization back to life!
