19XX: The War Against Destiny

19XX: The War Against Destiny is a 1995 vertical scrolling shooter arcade game by Capcom (copyrighted in 1996). The game is the fourth part of a series of World War II vertical shooters developed by Capcom. The story is set before a fictional war (hence the year 19XX), in which a lone pilot tries to stop an entire army or evil organization from starting another world war, which soon escalates into a nuclear apocalypse.
